Dear Liv,

Today Mommy had her 38 week appointment. You're measuring early, 39 weeks and 5 days to be exact, mommy is still having contractions, we're starting to dilate, and everyone cannot believe you're still in there. Daddy and I are so beyond ready for you. We have your nursery all done

I have all your blankets and clothes washed and smelling oh so fresh
and mommy looks like a house
Yesterday we celebrated Independence Day with the fam. It was pretty fun! Mom made nummy goodies then we went to the parade like we do every year

and mommy was very hot and uncomfortable
and swollen
Then we had a BBQ with the fam and went to watch fireworks

I don't think you were too fond of the fireworks, those mad jabs were not comfortable for Mom. I also can officially claim the title of stay at home mommy! had my very last day at Tai Pan last week and I've been busy nesting making our home nice and comfortable for you. Daddy calls almost every hour to see if anything new is happening with you. Grandma and Grandpa call as soon as they get off work and ask about our day. You already have some berry cute babe friends waiting to play with you. All of us are absolutely dying to meet you! So please, come out soon!
Love, Mommy.

One Year!

12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes ago (yesterday) I married my soul mate.

on what was the best day of my life, thus far. Our first year of marriage has been Amazing!

Hands down the most exciting part of our year was finding out we're going to be parents!

I feel like we just found out we were pregnant and now she's almost here. Of course we had to follow tradition and eat some of our wedding cake.

It actually wasn't bad at all! Being married has been the greatest adventure ever! Matt is my best friend in the entire world. He's always there to pick me up when I'm feeling down, he works very hard to support our family, and I can't wait to see him with our baby Liv! <3 I love you sooooo much Matthew Gene! Happy anniversary!
One down, infinity to go :)

Shower Power

Yesterday my Momma and seester Jessica threw me and Baby Liv a baby shower! It turned out sooo cute! We had so much nummy food and goodies and we got a bunch of fun stuff! Olivia is going to be one stylin' little babe! Unfortunately I did not get a lot of photos but here are a few

cute decor

mommy :)

my fellow mommy to be friend Taylee

my other mommy to be friend Sherri

Mel and Krystal

mel and Ashlie

Katie, Mel, and Jenna

Grandma Carrie and Grandma Christy :)

Thanks to everyone who made it! I did some reflecting today and could not help but notice of all my "friends" who were invited to my shower, with the exception of a few, the ones who made it are my fellow mommy or mommy to be friends. I don't know if this necessarily makes me sad just informed I suppose. I always knew as soon as we had a baby our friendships with people would change. I guess I just didn't realize in what aspect. The thing is, Matt and and I wanted to become parents. We wanted a child, a family, and yes we knew this would mean our lives would change forever. So its not fair for us to essentially expect our friends to want to change their lifestyles or priorities to accommodate us. Olivia will be/ is our top priority and that is the bottom line. It doesn't mean we have to cut all ties with our non parent friends, and I know we do have a few that will still be in our lives when Liv is here, but I think its time for us to invest in some fellow parent friends. The bottom line is you want to surround yourself with people who have common interests with, right? That's my logic here anyways. Well enough of the rant, in other VERY exciting news this cute babe

graduates high school in 9 days! My baby seester is not a baby anymore. I sure do love you pretty lady!
