Happy Holidays

We had a really fun Thanksgiving this year. Matt's parents decided to make dinner at their house this year too so we got to have two rounds of turkey dinner. I woke up bright and early to do all my cooking and baking then we headed over to Matt's parent's house at about 2:00. We ate dinner then we all hung out together and let Liv and Colton play. Then we headed over to my parent's house at about 5:00 and ate again. It was all so delicious and nice to spend time with the whole fam. Then after dinner me, my sisters, my mom and aunt all headed out to do some black Friday shopping. We had so much fun this year and got a ton of awesome stuff. Then on Friday afternoon Matt and I went out and did a little more shopping then we hung out as a fam and started putting up our Christmas decor. Liv thought the tree and all the lights were just the coolest thing. Then Saturday night we decided to go downtown and look at the lights together. It was really busy but so fun! We went over to city creek to grab some dinner and Liv loved watching the fountains! It was a fun long weekend together, I'm so blessed to have such an amazing little family!

Thankful

With Thanksgiving fast approaching I feel it very necessary to reflect on all that I am Thankful for this year.
  • My wonderful, sweet, amazing and oh so good looking husband.
Words can never fully express how truly thankful I am to have Matt in my life. He works so hard to provide for us. He is my best friend in the entire world and the greatest dad. He knows exactly what to say to cheer me up when I'm upset. I love you so much Matthew Gene.
  • My sweet little princess Olivia.

Our curious little angel. I am so in love with this little girl she is my everything. I love watching you and your sweet personality grow everyday. You are the greatest thing to ever happen to us and I'm so glad you are part of our family. I'm so grateful to be your mommy!
  • our families

I'm so grateful to have a family that loves and supports us. We're so lucky to have such a strong support system of people who are always there for us. Olivia is very lucky to have so many people in her life that love her so much!
  • Our cute new townhouse.
I'm so happy we have a new home to call ours. We love being here and we're really enjoying getting all settled in. Olivia loves how much space we have to play. We've had lots of fun playing in our little yard and going on walks to the playground and seeing the ducks. We're super close to both of our families and friends which is so nice. All of our neighbors are really nice and friendly and we just love being here. We're also so grateful for our awesome landlords! They are such nice, friendly, easy going people
  •   Matt's job.
I'm so grateful Matt has a job that provides for our family and that he enjoys. Matt looks forward to going to work everyday and that's a great feeling. I'm so grateful for the union and the amazing benefits they provide for us. I don't know what we'd do without the great health coverage we have. I'm also so grateful that I have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom to our little girl. It is definitely a dream come true for me.
  •  Good friends!

I'm so grateful to have the friends that we do in our life right now. We seriously have some great, supportive people around us. I love having all my mommy friends to turn to for advice, have play dates with, or even just to vent. I love you all!
  • Thanksgiving dinner
I seriously love my family's Thanksgiving dinner. It just doesn't get much better then southern food and deep fried turkey!  Happy Thanksgiving all!

Halloween 2012

We had a good time celebrating Olivia's second Halloween this year. Matt had school Tuesday night so he could have Halloween off so my sister Jess and I decided to go to a last minute pumpkin patch that night with Liv and make some cookies. Then we started Halloween day by going to Liv's cousin Kylee's Halloween parade at her school which Liv loved! Then when Matt got home from work we had to turn in our old keys to our apartment and we trick-or-treated some of our old neighbors and said our goodbyes. Then we came home and carved our pumpkins and ate some nummy chili. Then it was time for trick-or-treating in my parent's neighborhood. It was a lot of fun Liv thought it was just the neatest thing ever. Then we went over to Matt's parent's house and went trick-or-treating through their neighborhood with aunt Amanda and Colton! Liv and Colton rode in the wagon together to each house it was stinking cute! It was a pretty laid back, fun day!
