Christmas with the Kemps

Christmas was so very fun this year! Olivia is at such a fun age, last year she was all about the boxes and bows, and this year she really got into the whole presents thing. We had a pretty busy Christmas eve, we are trying to reconnect with all of Matt's extended family so we started the night at his aunt Kim's house. It was nice to be able to spend some time with them, sort of awkward, but nice. Then we headed over to my Aunt Wendy's house which is always so so fun. Liv had a great time playing with all of her cousins. Then we all headed over to my parent's house for treats and to open our Christmas Eve presents. We let Liv open a blanket I made for her from us and she opened a new recordable storybook from Grandma and Grandpa. We got home pretty late and put little miss to bed and then it was time to play Santa :) We had to start the day pretty early so we all woke up at about 6:30 to open presents and get ready. Liv had so much fun opening all of her stuff! She is on this HUGE baby kick so we got her a few baby dolls and a stroller and bath tub set to go with them. She also got a new play kitchen with a highchair for her babies, some books, clothes, jammies, shoes, a guitar, and a play puppy. Puppies are also her new thing and since we are definitely not getting a dog ever for a while, a toy one will have to do. We let Liv break in all her new toys while I made a nummy cinnamon roll casserole from pinterest and then we headed out. We went over to Matt's family's house first and let Liv and Colton open presents together. Liv got a new haul of fun stuff and had lots of fun watching Colton open all his presents too. We had a little breakfast with Matt's fam and then headed over to my parent's house. We all got pretty spoiled by my parents this year and Liv had so much fun opening her last round of presents. Me, my sisters and Matt all decided to go in on a new TV and entertainment center that we scored on black Friday for my parents this year and we had so much fun giving it to them! We had a big breakfast together and then it was time to head home and let Liv take a much needed nap while we started sorting through all our new stuff. We went back over to my parent's house for an awesome dinner and did one last round of presents with my grandparents and aunt and uncle. It was a really great Christmas this year and we are so lucky to have so many great people in our lives to spend the holidays with.

Christmas pics 2012

I think I've finally found a way around this blogger issue of uploading pictures, thanks to my early Christmas present. I finally caved and got a fancy phone that lets me do fancy things, like clear out my picasa web albums so I have more storage space. Happy Day. Any who, at the beginning of the month we got some family pictures taken for Christmas. First we took Liv to get her Santa pictures done. She was not very happy and I was pretty impressed they got her to not look miserable in them. We had an appointment to get family pictures taken a few days after and I was praying she got all the screaming out of her system. Oh no, it was just a warm up for her. I don't know what her deal is, but I've noticed every time we take her to get pictures done, if its a girl photographer she flips. I wanted to get a couple pics of Liv and her cousin Colton for a little project for Matt's parents for Christmas. Matt's sis was a bit worried about how Colton would do, of course he was a champ totally rocked it. I was extremely surprised how they turned out, even though Liv is crying in almost every one, I love them.
