Thankful 2013

Well its that time of year again, in the spirit of Thanksgiving its time for me to reflect on my life and all that I have to be Thankful for. Ya know I'm not super great at keeping up with this blog, I don't really have any valid excuses life is just busy. But I always make myself sit down and write this post every year because it truly makes me realize how blessed I am and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Where to begin...

~My husband. Matt is such an amazing man. He takes such good care of us and we are so beyond blessed to have him. He is my best friend, we have so much fun together. This year has definitely kept us on our toes. But through it all Matt has been so positive and the best partner to experience everything with. We've had so much fun this year, making time to do "us" things, making lots of fun memories. He is such an amazing dad to Olivia and she just adores her daddy.

~My Daughter. My sweet Olivia, is such a great blessing in our lives. I cannot even begin to express how obsessively in love with her. She is so smart, and oh so sassy. She is hands down my favorite little human. She has such a genuine spirit and heart. She makes friends with everyone everywhere she goes. I am so blessed to have such an amazing angel like Liv to call mine.

~Our families. My parents and sisters are incredible. They are the best support system, and the funnest people to be around. My mom and dad do so much for Matt and I and are the best grandparents to Liv. My sisters are my best friends, I cannot even begin to imagine my life without them. Liv loves her aunt Jess and Nikki so much and I'm so blessed to have them as role models for her. Matt's family, although we don't see them as often, are also a great support system for us. His parents are so great to Liv, she loves going over to their house to play and chatting with them.

~Our Friends. Life had been crazy busy these days, and at the end of the day we are so grateful to have our friends to enjoy the fun times with. Although we may not see them all as much as we'd ultimately like to, we are blessed that our friendships never change.

~Our Jobs. As always I am so beyond thankful that Matt has his career with the Union. Although at times, especially this year, his work load may not be thriving, the Union still provides so many amazing benefits and opportunities for us. I am also so thankful for Matt taking the initiative to further his education and after a long 5 years, finished school this Spring and is still pursuing more schooling to advance his skills. I too am very blessed to have my job. I have so much fun everyday and truly love every part of what I do. I love having the opportunity to work with the nicest people for such a great company.

~Our home. We love everything about our cute townhouse and have had so much fun this last year making it home. We love love love all of our neighbors, it is so great to live in a great neighborhood with wonderful people. Liv loves playing with all her little friends and we love all the wonderful memories we have made here. Of course we are so blessed to have our great landlords, they are such a darling family and we just adore them.

~Food in our bellies and love in our hearts. At the end of the day, what more does one need? Being able to spend Thanksgiving with people we love, eating delicious food, having a roof over our heads, vehicles to get us from point A to B, our health, honestly that is more then enough to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Halloween 2013

Halloween was super fun this year... ya know a month ago when it happened #slacker. Olivia insisted on dressing up as a clown this year. I made her and her cousin Kylee matching clown costumes and they had so much fun in them. Liv was so into trick or treating and showing off in her costume. We used our zoo pass and did the "boo at the zoo" the Saturday before Halloween, which was pretty crowded but overall fun for the girls. Liv wasn't feeling too hot on Halloween so we had a pretty cranky clown on our hands. We went to see Kylee at her school parade, played at Gardener village and took some pictures, trick or treated my work and then went over to my mom's house for some chili and trick or treating in their neighborhood. Liv was such a trooper all day and all in all had a lot of fun.
